Profile of our Managing Director / Principal Migration Agent

Amila Weerasinghe is the Managing Director of Destiny Migration Solutions in Australia and Destiny Migration Solutions Pvt Ltd and Destiny Education Solutions Pvt Ltd in Sri Lanka. He also serves as our Principal Migration Consultant for both offices located in Australia and Sri Lanka.

Amila obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Open University of Sri Lanka in 1998 and then completed his Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practise from the National University of Australia in Canberra In 2010. Apart from his Law qualifications, he has Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka and National Diploma in Computer Studies from Australian Computer Society. He has been registered as a Migration Agent in Australia since 2010 and gained experience in the areas of skilled migration, student, partner, parent, business and employer sponsored visas. He is also involved in Migration Review Tribunal (MRT) and Ministerial Intervention cases for his Australian clientele. Amila currently act as a professional level member for Migration Institute of Australia and as a member of Migration Alliance Australia. He also had an opportunity to engage as a professional level member in institutes such as Australian Human Resources Institute, Australian Computer Society and Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka in his recent careers.

Amila has gained vast experience in the fields’ of human resources and Information Technology by working for leading Sri Lankan establishments for more than 15 years. He also worked in the capacity of the Human Resources Manager for a leading multinational company in Sri Lanka and has been practically involved in all areas of human resources management and development including recruitment and staff development.

Amila is currently based in Australia in his office in Glen Waverley Melbourne and also operates an office in Colombo 05 in Sri Lanka.
